Call for applications - 2017 Human rights Prize of the French Republic

The 2017 Human Rights Prize of the French Republic is open for application.

Created in 1968, this prize is organized by the National Consultative Comission for Human Rights (CNCDH). It is a national insitution promoting and protecting human rights. For more information, consult the CNCDH website.
This prize rewards individual or colective projects on human rights, without any consideration of nationality or frontier. Every project has to correpond with one of the two themes selected yearly. In 2017, those themes are :

  • « freedom of information, press freedom and journalism »
  • « promotion and protection of sexual and reproductive rights ».

The CNCDH has a 70 000€ global endowment for this prize, which will be shared between 5 winners (from 10 000€ to 15 000€ by project). The 5 following winners will get a "special mention".
